PNC Day 2: Energy experts, stakeholders unwind, treated to another cultural dances, jokes

IT was another evening of relaxation for top energy stakeholders who gathered in Yenagoa for the second day of the 12th Practical Nigerian Content, PNC, Forum.

The Alamieyeseigha banquet hall, which was the venue of the dinner, was well attended by energy players, guests, politicians, including Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, deputy governor of Bayelsa state, to unwind after a long day of deliberations at the local content tower in Yenagoa.

The dinner evening sponsored by the Bayelsa State Government was also an opportunity to display the rich cultural heritage of the host community.

Realnews reports that there was a display of cultural sophistication by the traditional dancers, who held the guests spell bound. There was also the performance by home based comedians, who cracked up the already excited audience into bouts of unending laughter.

In his welcome remarks, Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, declared that the 2023 PNC was his last as the ES of the NCDMB.

Wabote, who joined the comedians in entertaining the guests with an industry joke as he called it, stated that the evening was purely an opportunity to relax.

He also commended the state government for its support over the years as well as all the participants, who had sat through the panel discussions during the day.

Also speaking, the deputy governor praised Wabote for his forthrightness, resilience and determination to take the local content to an enviable height.

He also used the opportunity to wish Wabote the best even as his tenure comes to an end in 2024.
