THE Police campaign against cultism and other vices, POCACOV, congratulates the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, as he assumes duty as the 21st Inspector General of Police of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
POCACOV’s National Coordinator, Stakeholders, Ambassadors, and Volunteers pledged their unalloyed support to the new IGP and commit themselves to ensure that the Force under his leadership improves in the areas of security, safety, law, and order in the country and the fight against cultism and other associated vices.
POCACOV, which the new Acting Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, NPM, has been given maximum support before assumption of duty, strongly identifies with the policing vision of enhancing police primacy in the protection of lives and property of the IGP.
“We believe that your drive towards the provision of motivational and credible leadership driven by professionalism and strategic planning will ultimately stabilize our internal security and help the framework of citizens’ consent, trust, and the rule of law.
“POCACOV In line with our core aim of Sensitizing members of the public on the dangers of belonging to cult group(s), re-awaking the security consciousness of members of the Public and educating relevant stakeholders such as Traditional Rulers, Town union Presidents, political class, Youth Leaders, Market Union Leaders, Students’ Leaders and other stakeholders on the danger of cultism and other vices heartily say congratulations on your assumption of duty and totally key into your vision.
“We say a big thank you for supporting the POCACOV vision and we look forward to your expanding the vision until cultism and other vices are totally eradicated in the country,” the group said in a statement.
