The Police Prosecutor, Insp Kugh Abugh, gave the names of the defendants as Terhemba Agbidye, Ahangba Amer, Mlumun Moses and Favour Fidelis.
Abugh told the court that the case was transferred from ‘E’ Divisional Police Headquarters, Makurdi, to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Makurdi, via a letter, with Ref. No. AR:3100/BNS/MKE/VOL.6/169, dated March 30.
Abugh said that on March 22, one Terna Tavershima, of NKST Kparev Nyorgyungu, Makurdi, reported at ‘E’ Divisional Police Station, Makurdi.
He said that on March 21, Tavershima, a commercial motorcyclist, closed from work and parked his Boxer motorcycle, with registration number: SEL 102 UM in his compound.
The prosecutor further stated that Tavershima discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen when he woke up the following day (March 22).
