AFGHAN police have arrested nine people charged with selling narcotics and illicit drugs in four provinces, the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday.
“Nine suspected drug sellers were arrested in Kabul, Kunduz, Sari Pul, and Nimroz provinces over the past couple of days,’’ the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the suspects were taken to concerned departments for screening and possible legal process.
Afghanistan’s Taliban-led caretaker government had vowed to fight against poppy cultivation and opium trade in the war-torn country.
