THE Police Command in Adamawa has deployed 431 newly recruited constables to boost security across the 21 local government areas of the state.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Sikiru Akande told the constables on Tuesday in Yola that they must shun corrupt tendencies and acts that would tarnish the image of the Police.

Akande also said they must strive to ensure safety of communities and be good ambassadors of their families and the Nigeria Police Force.

“I urge you to be committed in  upholding professionalism, be God fearing in your official and personal conducts,” the commissioner of police added.

According to him, the deployment of the constables is to strengthen community policing in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba.(NAN)
