FOLLOWING the obstruction of vehicular movement by some protesting truck drivers at Dabi village of Kwali Area Council, Police operatives led by Mijinyawa Jahun, an assistant commissioner and the area commander Gwagwalada, in swift response have successfully cleared the road of the trucks and reopened it for the use of commuters.

The command said that while it recognises the right of citizens to express their grievances, it advised members of the public to “always adopt legal and legitimate means in doing so instead of resorting to self-help by taking the laws into their hands and denying other innocents citizens of their right to free movement.”

The Police statement on the issue was signed by Anjuguri Manzah, a deputy superintendent of Police and the force public relations officer, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
