Members-elect of the Imo State House of Assembly on Thursday elected Chiji Collins as their speaker.
He was elected unopposed following a nomination by Lawman Duruji (Ehime Mbano) and seconded Kennedy Ibe (Obowo).
The new Speaker was elected on the platform All Progressives Grand Alliance and defected to Peoples Democratic Party three days ago to enable him to emerge the Speaker. – Punch
