SOME members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the auspices of National Youth Leadership Congress (NYLC) has called for withdrawal of a case filed against Rivers chapter of APC by Sen. Magnus Abe.

In a protest letter submitted to the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole in Abuja on Thursday, the National President of the group, Mr Emmanuel Orgwu, urged APC leadership to ask Abe to withdraw the case from court to enable the party to conduct congresses in the state.

“Today, we have come to ask the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party to prevail on Sen. Magnus Abe to withdraw the case from court so that we can have peaceful congresses and prepare for 2023 election.

“That if he (Abe) fails to withdraw the case from court, that he should be expel forthwith for peace to reign in Rivers APC.

“And if NWC fails to prevail on him to withdraw the case from court, it means the party’s National leadership connives with him to distabilise APC in Rivers,” Orgwu said.

According to him, National Youth Leadership Congress as APC support group cannot continue to ignore the divide and rule going on in the Rivers state chapter of the APC.

“Presently, Sen. Magnus Abe is in court and the NWC set up a caretaker committee to conduct a congress.

“And Abe with the names of dead people went to court in connivance with Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers and some national leaders of the APC who are enemies of the party,” he said.(NAN)
