Katsina State releases N14m compensation for Sandamu road project

KATSINA State Government has paid N14 million compensation to owners of farmlands for the construction of Karkarku Gurjiya-Dangau-Kwasarawa road in Sandamu Local Government Area of the state.

Alhaji Kasimu Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary, Politicals, and Common Services, handed over cheques to the beneficiaries on Thursday in Sandamu.

Ibrahim said the road project was part of the state government’s plan for the overall development of the state.

He urged people of the area to continue supporting the administration of Gov.  Aminu Masari for more dividends of democracy.

The council’s Head of Administration, Alhaji Usman Darda’u, commended the state government for making the dream of people in the area a reality.

He said that the road would enhance economic activities in the area and enhance the livelihood of the people.

In his comments, the District Head of Sandamu, Alhaji Yau Sani expressed appreciation on behalf of the people, to the state government for embarking on the project.

He called for more support to the government as it strives to make life more meaningful for the people. (NAN)
