Osoba’s son wins House of Reps seat in Ogun

OLUMIDE Osoba, the son of former governor of Ogun state, Segun Osoba has won the House of Representatives seat for Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode federal constituency in the state.

Olumide who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress defeated the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Micky Kazzim, a serving member of House of Representatives with 33, 538 votes.

Kazzim got 14, 903 votes to come second while candidate of Peoples Democratic Party came third with 14,313 votes.

Candidate of Action Democratic Party, one of the daughters of MKO Abiola, Rinsola, polled 10,834 to come fourth.

The Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Ismaila Salami, declared the results at the collation centre at Unity high school, Ago-Ika, Abeokuta. – Punch
