POLITICAL Adviser to Chief John Odigie Oyegun, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ray Murphy has said the disagreement between the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his predecessor was just mere ideological differences and nothing personal.

Murphy who spoke with newsmen on preparation for the final leg of the 80th birthday celebration of Chief Oyegun said the interest of the former APC Chairman was to see a united and peaceful party.

He said from the letter written to Comrade Oshiomhole by the Director General of the Nigeria Governors Forum, it was evident that the crisis within the party has reached a level of concern to all members.

He said the dinner being organised to round up the 80th birthday celebration will be attended by those he described as the high and mighty and across party lines.

He said; “we have invited everybody and across party lines. Both those who were in Benin and those who were not in Benin. They have all been invited. I am sure that you saw the advert placed by the current National Chairman. That is to tell you that there is nothing personal between them”. – The Nation
