Taraba APC Chieftain says Buhari gov’t impacting lives of ordinary Nigerians

Dr. Sam Skebrah Bulus Timothy A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Taraba State, Dr Sam Skebrah Bulus Timothy has said the current administration is making legendary impacts in life and economy of ordinary people who were neglected by previous government. Dr Timothy who’s a staunch promoter of President Buhari in Taraba state spoke when he received ‎an Hounorary doctorate degree from ‎Petrus Fidei University in Lanexa, Virginia USA ‎. He said the social investment programme of the Buhari administration is antidote to fighting poverty and bridging the wide gap between the rich and the ordinary Nigerians who constituted larger population of the country. Timothy ‎who is also a peace ambassador for Good Governance said that this is the first time in the history of this country that our economy is adjusting to the reality of meeting the needs of ordinary Nigerians. “Government programmes under President Buhari has shown the level corruption has deprived the ordinary Nigerians. For the first time, we see what a people centered government should look like. How resources should be used for the ordinary people, President Buhari has shown that Africa can walk out of poverty if resources are channeled appropriately to the people.” ‎‎‎‎The representative of the vice chancellor, archbishop Sunday Uahomo in his speech, described Dr Timothy as a versatile and hard working accounting professional with extensive experience in academic and administration in the United Kingdom (UK) and Nigeria. He said the University decided to honour Dr Timoth based on his contribution to the field of accounting and corporate governance. On his part, ‎Alhaji Ibrahim Modibbo a season politician and a renowned journalist who chaired the occasion, urge Nigerians to promote national unity and peaceful co-existence. ‎He said the recipient is from Taraba, he’s of Kuteb (jukun-kwararafa) extraction. people who are known warriors and great achievers in the history of Africa, but are friends to his people the Fulani’s, and was happy to chair the occasion. He said the award is borne out of patriotism and nationalistic intervention in the area of good governance and accountability of the youth, to which he believe has the determination and courage of a great leader if the opportunity unveils itself. ‎ Also a former Attorney General in Kaduna State and ‎chairman Mega Veteran Handball Association of Nigeria,‎ Barr. Mark Jacob told the recipient to take the award as a challenge and not just a mere celebration. He adviced him to do the needful to his community, Taraba and Nigeria, because the unity of this country lies in the hand of people as Dr Timothy.
