POPE Francis has been taken to hospital, according to a media report, but there was no official information from the Vatican about the 86-year-old’s health.
The local media report said the pontiff arrived at the Gemelli Clinic in the morning for a check-up.
The head of the Catholic Church was hospitalised for several days at the end of March because of bronchitis.
He returned to the Vatican in time for the Holy Week and Easter weekend celebrations.
At the end of May, the Pope had to cancel planned audiences and appointments on one day because of a fever. (dpa/NAN)
