THE Board of Premium Pensions Limited has appointed Mr Sadi Abdu as the company’s new Executive Director, Operations & Services, Mr Aliyu Mohammed, the Head, Corporate Communications, has said.
Mohammed announced the appointment in a release made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday.
He said that Abdu’s appointment was expected to boost the performance of the company by 200 per cent
He described the new executive director as a seasoned banker and distinguished member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
NAN reports that Abdu, who is also a member, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, UK, belongs to the Institute of Internal Auditors and Certified Islamic Finance Analyst.
Abdu, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano, is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of Institute of Credible Administration of Nigeria.
He reportedly started his career as a lecturer with the College of Arts & Sciences, Kano, before moving to Messrs Muhtari Dangana & Co Chartered Accountants as a trainee accountant in Lagos.
He was said to be a pioneer member of staff of Jaiz Bank and team leader in the Internal Audit of the bank, prior to his new appointment.
The statement quoted the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Umar Mairami, to have expressed the confidence that Abdu’s appointment would strengthen the operations of the company.
