President Buhari calls for support for nation’s energy sector

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has called on all Nigerians to give the incoming administration all the needed support that will help move the nation’s energy sector forward.

Declaring open the four-day Nigeria International Energy Summit, NIES, on Monday in Abuja, President Buhari, who is the special guest of honour, noted that this year’s summit has gathered leaders of thoughts and executives of leading Oil and Gas sector to deliberate on the theme: ‘Global Perspectives For a Sustainable Energy Future’.

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, represented President Buhari at the Summit, which is regarded as the brain-child of the Buhari’s administration as well as contributing to the numinous achievements in the Nigerian oil and gas sector.

Realnews reports that the Summit has received several goodwill messages from leaders in the oil and gas industry and the top players in the Energy industry and leaders of government agencies attending the event include Mele Kolo Kyari, Group CEO, NNPC Ltd., Omar Farouk Ibrahim, Secretary General, Africa Petroleum Producers’ Organization, APPO, Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, permanent secretary, ministry of Petroleum Resources, Abdulrazaq Isa, Chairman, IPPG, Rick Kennedy, Chairman, OPTS, Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary, NCDMB, Ambassadors and the representative of the AfDB.
