President meets with Nigerian Security Chiefs

APPARENTLY due to the increasing insecurity in the country, especially the killings by the Fulani herdsmen across the country, Nigerian President Muhamamdu Buhari today met with security chiefs in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Although the details of the meeting is sketchy, Realnews reports that security chiefs at the meetings include  Mansur Dan-Ali, minister of Defence,  Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, Ibrahim, inspector general of police, and Ahmed Abubakar, new director-general of the National Intelligence Agency, who is attending the meeting for the first time since his recent appointment.

The presidency stated in a message on the Twitter handle, @NGRPresident, said: “Security meeting today, presided over by President @MBuhari. NSA, Service Chiefs, Intelligence Chiefs, IGP in attendance.

“President briefed on Intelligence-gathering and law enforcement efforts across the country, by the various agencies.”
