President of the ECOWAS Commission receives UNIDO Deputy Director General.

OMAR Alieu TOURAY, President of ECOWAS Commission met with the Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, UNIDO, and Managing Director of the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, Fatou Haidara and her team during a courtesy visit to the Commission’s Headquarters, in Abuja, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

 During the interactive meeting with the UNIDO team, Touray reaffirmed ECOWAS’ determination and commitment towards strengthening ongoing partnership with UNIDO, especially in the areas of industrialization and regional integration.

The UNIDO Deputy Director General commended ECOWAS for its continued support and pledged to collaborate with the Commission to implement programmes that will foster industrialization and regional integration among ECOWAS member states.
