THE National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has that the average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by – 0.23 percent month-on-month and by -0.07 percent year-on-year to N1974.67 in September 2020 from N1979.15 in August 2020.
The NBS said states with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for cooking gas were Kano (N3,654.00), Oyo (N3,758.93) and Imo (N3,768.75).
The NBS in its September report stated that states with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder were Imo (N1,644.44), Ebonyi (N1,693.86) and Enugu (N1,705.45). States with the highest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder were Bauchi (N2,487.37), Borno (N2,391.96) and Adamawa (N2,368.41).
Similarly, average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for cooking gas decreased by -0.63 percent month-on-month and by -0.32 percent year-on-year to N4,110.92 in September 2020 from N4,136.80 in August 2020. States with the highest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for the product were Akwa-Ibom (N4,554.44), Bayelsa (N4,535.00) and Cross River (N4,470.56).
