PROF. Obiora Okonkwo, chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, has described the passage to eternal glory of the Senator representing Anambra South, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, as a personal loss.

In a statement made available to journalists by Dikeora Media Office, Prof. Okonkwo said Sen. Ubah’s death was also a regrettable loss to Anambra State and Nigeria in general.

He described the deceased as a visionary leader and a ceaseless advocate of the people who placed God ahead of everything he did.

He said Senator Ubah positively impacted the lives of several people during his earthly sojourn, adding that the philanthropist would be deeply missed.

“It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that I mourn the untimely passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a personal friend, a visionary leader, a passionate advocate for the people, and a champion of progress.

“His sudden departure has created a vacuum in the hearts of all who loved him, his constituents in Anambra South and the nation at large.

“Senator Ubah’s unwavering dedication to his duties in the Senate of the Federal Republic and particularly to the good people of Anambra South, his unwavering pursuit of justice, and his selfless commitment to the good of all have been sadly cut short by this sad turn of events.

“His death leaves me with a deep sense of irreparable loss as I recall his infectious enthusiasm, his boundless energy, and his unquenchable optimism, which has inspired a generation of youths to strive for the top.

“I pray that his legacy of selflessness and philanthropy will continue to inspire many more people to live for humankind.

“May his kind soul find eternal rest in the presence of the Almighty God who alone can wipe the tears off our eyes,” Prof. Okonkwo said.
