Professionalism pays: FRSC recovers N8.6m

THE Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commended the corps’ rescue team for their exemplary professionalism in recovering N8.6 million from a crash scene in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Mohammed said this in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Mr Olusegun Ogungbemide on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said the crash occurred on 30 September at 7p.m. along Zaria-Funtua road, involving a speeding Toyota Corolla and a Nigerian Army Ford pickup.

He explained that three people were involved, with two sustaining injuries and one rescued unharmed.
Mohammed applauded the team’s integrity and reiterated the FRSC’s commitment to road safety and responsible driving practices.

He urged motorists to adhere to speed limits, citing speed as a major cause of fatalities and injuries.(www.nannews.ng)
