Passage
THE Uwazurike family of Umunakanu, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State, Nigeria has announced the passage unto glory of their brother, and head of the family, Professor Cletus Ngozi Uwazurike.
A statement by the family said that the late Professor of Educational Management and Planning, Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria, joined the Saints Triumphant on October 25, 2022.
A former Provost of the Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri; Dean, Faculty of Education, Imo State University; member of the 2005 Constitutional Conference of Nigeria and a highly respected community leader and motivator, Prof. Uwazurike, the statement said further, would be buried on December 23, 2022 at Umunakanu, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State.
Among notable members of the Uwazurike family are Professor Chudi Uwazurike, Professor of Sociology at the City College of New York and former member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, and Goddy Uwazurike, a lawyer, emeritus President of Aka Ikenga, a pan Igbo think tank, and President of the Credibility Group.
