Promote interdenominational love, inter-religious unity, Ukodhiko urges new ICAN president, Oki

MEMBER representing Isoko Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Jonathan Ukodhiko has adviced the new president of Isoko Christain Association, Apostle Thompson Oki to promote inter-denominational love and inter-faith unity for the betterment of Isoko.
Ukodhiko gave the charge on Friday in Abuja in a statement congratulating the newly inaugurated executive members of the apex Isoko Christain body headed by Apostle Oki of the Christ Chosen Deliverance Ministry.
“According to him, Your Lordship, Apostle M.T.O. Oki (JP), I warmly felicitate with you on your election as the new president of the Isoko Christain Association of Nigeria and Oversees (ICAN).
“ICAN is an important Christian body in Isoko nation. And it has been playing a pivotal role in fostering unity and harmony among Christians and faithfuls of other religions.
“I am aware of your track record as a social worker, counselor, teacher, preacher and healer in Isoko. You have been man of courage and conviction, embodying the lofty ideals of social justice railing against injustice
“I have followed your trajectory also as a foremost religious and a community leader, and I must commend you for advancing the cause of Christians in Isoko.
“I am very confident with your election as the new president of ICAN, you will continue to be a symbol of unity and, you will further serve the interests of all Christians in Isoko more better.
“However, I must call on you to lead the charge for the unity, peace and harmony of the church in Isoko Federal Constituency I represent in the House of Representatives here at Abuja.
“Yes, you must use your good office as president to promote interdenominational love amongst Christians, and interfaith unity for the betterment of Isokoland.
Ukodhiko stated that, “elections are gone, and it’s time for us to come together, embrace peace, unity, and collectively work for the progress, growth and sustainable development of Isoko.
“Thus, I appeal to you to ensure religious leaders in their various churches emphasized in their sermons the need for unity, peace, forgiveness, tolerance, love, and obedience to the rule of law.
“I must enjoin you also to see to it that, exuberant preachers of the gospel are well checkmated in order not to create enmity amongst christians and, faithfuls of other religions in Isokoland.
“Your Lordship, you are an exemplary leader endowed with a great interpersonal skill, and I want to urge you to support the present administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to actualize the M.O.R.E Agenda in Isoko.
The Isoko Federal lawmaker, Ukodhiko assured the new ICAN president of his support always, saying, “I’ll sustain the relationship between my office and the Isoko Christain Association for the betterment of our people.
“Once again, I congratulate you and your executive members just as I pray for more divine wisdom and directions as you pilot the affairs of the Isoko Christain Association to usher a new wave of peace and prosperity in Isoko.” He added
