Psychiatric hospital seeks Police support on enhanced security

THE Management of the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH), Kware in Sokoto State, has solicited the support of Police in ensuring improved security within the hospital and environs.
Prof. Shehu Sale, the Medical Director of the Hospital, made the call on Thursday when a team of Policemen from Police Area Command Sokoto Metro, visited the hospital.
Sale said security was paramount to peaceful coexistence, and allowed human beings to conduct their businesses freely without interference.
He said the hospital provided services to citizens round the clock and needed conducive atmosphere for personnel to perform better.
He assured of the commitment and support to police in thier mandate of safeguarding lives and property at all times.
Responding, leader of the delegation, DCP James Nwokolo, expressed appreciation on the quality of services and array of esoteric facilities within the hospital.
Owokolo, of Operations Department, said the visit was part of their efforts to obtain direct information from individuals, institutions and organisations on security issues, challenges and others.
Other officers on the entourage included CSP Ghali Nakamba and DSP Kabir Alaya.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting resolved the commitment of the police to support the management by providing safe environment for patients and staff and reinforcing security apparatus in the
