Raise children according to God’s blue print-cleric
General News
A Senior Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, has urged parents to train children according to God’s blue print.Eze made the call during his sermon at the church service on Sunday in Abuja.
He said that the training parents gave their children was critical in moulding them to take key roles in the society and navigate challenges.
He noted that some parents raise their children in fear, which undermined their confidence, even when they possessed the ability to handle challenging roles.
“Some of us grew thanking God for our parenting, not knowing that we were parented in fear, we were parented to believe others more than ourselves.
“Some of you were parented to be timid, to always allow others to be at the frontline, even when you are more capacitated by then,” he said.
He said that the situation has made those affected to mostly second guess their capacities, and let go of such opportunities to shine to less qualified people, even when God wants the best for them.
According to him, God loves families and is interested in their welfare and breakthroughs for the advancement of His kingdom.
He prayed against evil patterns in families, urging the congregants to pray and offer themselves to serve in God’s vineyard, while also declaring God’s favor over all their endeavors.
“But most of all, work with the aura of God’s favour,” he said.
He said that God’s favour shown to one family member could positively impact the entire family. (NAN)
