”We are still on the preseason training and selection of new players through trial matches.

”Rangers has continental competition and we have to be ready all the time as you never know when the league will start coupled with state league and others.

”This club has been a household name in Nigeria and continental football so we want to go step further to where we finished last season.

”I hope the incoming players, with the help of the old ones, will boost their performance in the forthcoming season,” the captain said.

”We are doing our best to ensure a successful pre-season that will give us edge in the continental and the Nigeria league as well.

”It will be a nice thing if we take more steps to our last season achievement in the CAF Confederation competition,” he said.

Michael Uchebo, Rangers striker and one time national team player said that the club management and technical crew wanted to give new players opportunity to prove their worth.

”For now, Rangers is now ready for the forthcoming season as the management and technical crew are trying to inject good, talented and skillfully players into the club for the continental ticket.

“Continental football is one of the positions Rangers want to focus on and I look forward for better outing this time around.

”Rangers played confederation cup competition last season and this season we are back to it and I believe we will go higher this time around.

”Let me make it clear, we want CAF Champions League competition and probably win the confederation cup this season,” Uchebo said.

Similarly, the club spokesperson, Norbert Okolie noted that the camp was already alive adding that the players were already working well with the interim coach, Benedict Ugwu.

”We have moved ahead from where we stopped with the former coach, Olugbenga Ogunbote as Ugwu is already assembling gallant soldiers for the new season,” Okolie said.
