Recovered Body Not My Son, Doctor’s Mother Tells Police

THE mother of Allwell Orji, medical doctor, who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon on the Third Mainland Bridge, said the body recovered by marine policemen was not that of her son. Dolapo Badmos, spokesperson, Zone 2 Police Command, said, “The mother has come to identify the body recovered, but she said the deceased was not her son.”
There was an earlier report that his body had been recovered. A police source, “The body of the doctor was found at about 11.30am. We want to be double sure and his parent has been called to come and identify the body,” the source said.
