NTEJE Community and motorists plying the dilapidated Odumodu Umunya-Nteje bye-pass in Oyi Local Government Area have commended Governor Willie Obiano for embarking on refurbishment of the road.

The people who were visibly happy at the level of work already done by the contractor, Tamad Construction Ltd., commended the government for awarding contract.

The contractor was already applying erosion-control measures near the Nengo River, Nteje that had been threatening the entire vicinity.

The people enjoined the contractor to strive to complete the work on schedule in order to alleviate the sufferings of the people plying the road on daily basis.

The bye pass is currently an alternative route for motorists, plying the Umunya–Awkuzu section of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
