Rep. Ukodhiko moves to unite Isoko PDP, meets with IPV leadership

AS part of moves aimed at uniting aggrieved members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko North Local Government Area, the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko has met with the leadership of the foremost Isoko Political Voice (IPV).

Rep. Ukodhiko in the meeting held at his Erawha-Owhe country-home on Sunday, stated that, “the unity of Isoko, including the PDP remained my foremost agenda.”

The House of Representatives member said, “my desire is to bring all members of our great party, the PDP in Isoko together, as one and united family, and I’m very happy to have all the proponents of the famous 3 over 5 group, the IPV in this reconciliation meeting.”

Stating, “the issues that caused division and anti-party activities during the elections in the party in the Local Government Area have been dealt with, and this meeting is a bigger step in the direction of mending all broken fences in the Isoko North PDP.

“Today’s meeting is part of an ongoing peace-building that is aimed at uniting all members of the People Democratic Party, PDP family in Isoko North Local Government Area.

“The aggrieved members under the auspices of the Isoko Political Voice have unanimously agreed and are eager to work for the unity and growth of the PDP and support all elected representatives and appointees of the party.” Ukodhiko added.

Speaking at the meeting, some leaders of the group, Hon. Daniel Tutumor, Chief (Engr.) Peter Odunwa, and Chief Emmanuel Erhire appreciated Hon Jonathan Ukodhiko for calling the reconciliation meeting.

They said, the leadership and membership of the Isoko Political Voice are happy and proud of Hon Ukodhiko’s quality legislative representation at the National Assembly, and urged him to continue to be all-inclusive in his representation and leadership.

Chief Odunwa said, “We the leadership of the Isoko Political Voice just had a successful meeting with our federal lawmaker, where we put aside all political differences and interests, and, we assured him of our support to succeed in his unifying efforts of the PDP.

“We also assured him of IPV’s support in his representation, that of Hon Bernard Odior of the Delta State House of Assembly, and our amiable Governor and in-law, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.”

Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Tutumor said, “yes, we are fully supporting all elected representatives, Hon Bernard Odior, Hon Ukodhiko and the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

“We are committed to the MORE Agenda and policies of Governor Oborevwori and the Okugbe-Isoko agenda of Rt Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko.” The former Isoko North PDP chairman added.

In his contribution, Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor, Chief Erhire reaffirmed the commitment of the IPV group to ensuring the success of the Party at the Local government, saying, “I must commend Hon Ukodhiko for his initiative in bringing the much desired unity to the party in less than one year in office.”

The meeting had in attendance Chief Oghenefejiro Okpakpor, Comrade Charles Ogba, Odio Omoredo, Mr Yaro Uyeri, Hon. Orumor, Amb. Omaduvie Sunday, Mr Cameron Ogheneovo, Mr. Matthew Owhefere, Mr Lever Dova, Chief Agbana Goddy, Hon Odede Gladys, and Engr Solomon Odhe.
