Reps want FG to dualise Ogun-Lagos Road

THE House of Representatives has passed a resolution urging the Federal Government to dualise the ijebu-Ode-lbefunItokin-Agbowa-lkorodu Road in Ogun.

Thus followed the adoption of a motion by Rep. Olufemi Ogunbanwo (APC-Ogun) during plenary in Abuja on Tuesday.


Presenting the motion, Ogunbanwo stated that the road served various communities and cities such as ljede, Imota, Epe, Agbowa, Itokin, ldowa, Ibefun in Ogun and Lagos State.

He also said it was an alternative route for commuters from South East and South-South, connected to the Sagamu – Ore – Benin highway.

Adopting the motion, the House urged the federal government to include the financial cost of the project in the 2024 budget.

The House also urged the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to commence the
rehabilitation pending the upgrading and dualisation of the road

The House mandated the committees of Works, Appropriations and
FERMA to ensure compliance (NAN)
