A sixth corpse has been recovered from the rubbles of a seven-storey uncompleted building, which collapsed on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lekki in Lagos on Sunday.

Emergency response agencies recovered two bodies from the site on Sunday and recovered three others earlier on Monday.

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, South West Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), confirmed the recovery of the sixth corpse.

The remote and immediate causes of the building’s collapse have yet to be ascertained.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that search and rescue operations are still on-going as the rescue teams are digging down to ground zero. (NAN)
