IN the face of several difficulties facing Nigeria, Rev. John Ashibuogwu, founder and general overseer, Imitators of Jesus Global Church, has called on Nigerians to keep on trusting God. He charged Christians not to compromise their faith despite challenges that are capable of forcing them to look back.

Speaking during the inauguration of the church, Ashibuogwu assured believers that whatever God has said, He will bring them to pass, irrespective of the length in time. The church used the occasion of the inauguration to launch three books, namely: “Faith, a universal currency”, “Fabric of opportunity and possibility” and “Communication: a universal currency to fulfilling your vision.”

The cleric disclosed that the dream to found the church was given to him 16 years ago in a dream when he was told to go to the entire world and preach the gospel. According to him, this charge has been repeated several times with the same message corroborated by many men of God that he has been called to save lives and win souls into the kingdom of God.

Ashibuogwu added that God has kept on equipping him with all he needs to execute the great commission, as he has been to America and London to preach the word of God in churches. “Despite the fact that I have been a University lecturer for fifteen years, I am happy that His calling is being heeded today, despite the length of time that I was initially told. My vision is to change and transform lives, lead men out of darkness to walk in the Light,” he said.

The cleric called on church leaders not to relent in praying for the nation and continue to carry out the responsibilities God has given to the church. He asked every citizen to fear God, live a life of holiness so that God can take Nigeria not only to the next level, but to the Promised Land.

He also assured that the three books would change lives, noting that communication with God by faith will open doors to opportunities and make impossibilities to be possible.
