Road safety officers’ wives donate to road accident victims in Jos

THE Plateau Chapter of the Road Safety Officers’ Wives Association (ROSOWA) has donated some items to victims of road accidents in Jos.

Mr Peter Longsan, the Public Education Officer of the Plateau Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), announced this in a statement issued in Jos.

Longsan said that the donation was part of activities outlined to commemorate the 2022 Africa Road Safety Day and Road Traffic Crash Victims Remembrance Week.

He said that members of the association visited the victims at the Our Lady of Apostles hospital and donated the items to them.

Mrs Foghotnan Makah, who led the team said that the gesture was to identify with victims of road accidents and encourage them in their difficult times.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that items donated includef washing and bathing soaps, toilet papers, body cream and detergent, among others.

The association also donated disinfectants, cotton wool, disposable gloves, mopping sticks and buckets to the management of the hospital.(NAN)
