ROMANIA’s government has condemned the Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports on the mouth of the Danube river close to the NATO member’s border.

“I strongly condemn the continued Russian attacks on innocent people, civilian infrastructure, including grain silos in ports,” Romania’s Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu wrote on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

“By these flagrant violations of international law Russia continues to jeopardise food security & the safety of navigation in the Black Sea,” she said.

The two Ukrainian ports close to the Romanian border were targeted by Russian drones in the early hours of Wednesday, damaging grain silos. (dpa/NAN)
