THE All Progressives Congress (APC) South West Zonal Caucus, has commended Mr Idowu Otetubi for withdrawing the lawsuit instituted against the Ondo State executive committee of the party.
The commendation is contained in a statement signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Oladapo Karounwi, and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.
Otetubi had earlier instituted a lawsuit against Mr Ade Adetimehin, the chairman of APC in Ondo state.
The party leadership described Otetubi’s decision as being patriotic and a step is taken to unify the party.
The party assured him that his loyalty and commitment to the party “will not go unnoticed’’.
Karounwi stated that the APC places a high premium on elevating the collective interests of the party above individual interests.
The party admonished similar factions in APC, wherever they exist in other states of the South West, to follow a good example of Otetubi in the overall interest of the party.
“There are consequences for good behaviour as well as bad behaviour,’’ the party stated.
It advised other members of APC who have an axe to grind with the party in Ondo state to reconcile in the overall interest of the party.
