Salesgirl allegedly steals MacBook Pro, others worth N4.9m

A salesgirl, Blessing Okwudili, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing four pieces of MacBook Pro and a Samsung A32, all worth N4.97 million.

Okwudili, whose residential address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

She, however, pleaded not guilty.

According to the prosecutor, Insp Olusegun Kokoye, the defendant committed the offences on Aug. 4, at 1:00 p.m. at No. 2, People Street, Computer Village, Ikeja.

Kokoye said that the defendant stole four MacBook Pro and one Samsung A32, all valued at N4,974,000.

He added that the defendant stole N29,000.

Kokoye said that the items belonged to one Mr Onyema Emeka.

He said that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, Mrs Sakirat Obasa, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250, 000 and two sureties.

Obasa adjourned the case until Oct. 25, for mention. (NAN)
