The Independent National Electoral Commission has been warned not the plunge the country into war by rigging the forthcoming general elections

UCHE Secondus, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  has gain warned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that rigging the forthcoming general election would amount to plunging the country into a war.

Secondus’ warning came as the PDP Presidential train arrived Delta and Anambra states on Thursday to meet crowd of party supporters at Stephen Keshi sports Stadium in Asaba and Holy trinity ground Onisha, Anambra state.

The national chairman said that the party is aware that there are some good people in INEC, but there are others who are conniving with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to rig the election.

“Let me warn that anybody who tries to rig this election would be asking for war because Nigerians are ready and determined to do anything to defend their votes.

“We know that INEC is under intense pressure from APC to rig but if they do that they see war, the same with the security agencies who I am advising them not to break law  like the President who is breaking our constitution,” he said.

According to a statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi, the national chairman also advised the security agencies to remain neutral and not drag the image of their organizations down by conniving with APC and INEC to manipulate election.

He said that the candidate the PDP is presenting to Nigerians for this election Atiku Abubakar is going to be a commander in chief who will be in charge not one that will be caged by a team of greedy cabals.

“President Buhari is not in-charge, the wife confirmed it and the evidence is there that he does not know what is going on in his government but Atiku is coming, well equipped and ready to take charge and tackle the challenges of the nation I assure you.

The presidential candidate who came to the two states accompanied by one of his wives Jamila Atiku Abubakar who hails from Anambra state, assured the people of Delta that his presidency will ensure  that the sea ports in the state is operational.

Atiku assured the people of Anambra state that his Presidency will make Nigeria work again and create a country  without any discrimination.

Earlier in a courtesy call on Nnameka Achebe, Obi of Onitsha,  the presidential candidate told the royal father that he and his entourage were in his palace to seek royal blessing as he strives to get the mandate of Nigerians to give the country economic direction.

Atiku said that the policy he would operate if elected President would be such that will help strengthen cultural tourism in an integrated economic plan.

Former Governor of the state and Running mate to Atiku in the February 16 poll, Peter Obi assured the people of the state that Atiku Presidency will create  the enabling conditions that would make Ndigbo flourish in their businesses.

Other speakers who spoke at the two venues in Asaba and Onitsha include the Senate President and the Director General of the Campaign council, Senator Bukola Saraki, Governor of  Delta state Adrian. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Chairmen of PDP in the two states.
