THE Secretaries to the Government of All Progressives Congress, CPC-Controlled States have commended the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Progressive Governors for providing good governance and leadership at this critical moment in Nigeria’s history and reiterated the fact that the Renewed Hope Agenda was on course.
This commendation was given in a communiqué issued at the Quarterly Meeting of Secretaries to the Government of APC-Controlled States held at Lokoja, Kogi State on Thursday June 27th and Friday June 28th, 2024.
The meeting was deliberated on agenda towards supporting the Progressive Governors’ pursuit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to finalize PGF’s proposals for common policy frameworks on some key areas of governance and public policy.
The SGSs emphasized that strategic policies and investments in various sectors by the Progressive Governors were already yielding promising results, evidenced by the increasing growth and stability witnessed in the economy,pledging their unwavering support to the Progressive Governors in their endeavors to create a prosperous and sustainable future for all citizens.
All of them applauded the proactive stance of Progressive Governors in ensuring the security and wellbeing of all Nigerians and therefore agreed to work on the framework for State Police as a way of enhancing security across the states.
They also affirmed their maximum support to develop the State Bill on Students loan as a way of contributing to Youth Development and Education in the APC Controlled states.They also gave adequate supports towards the Progressive Governors in stabilizing power supply across APC Controlled-States,noting that reliable electricity infrastructure fosters job creation and economic prosperity.
The SGSs admonished all citizens to remain steadfast in their support for the leaders and to actively participate in building a brighter future for Nigeria.”Let us persevere with hope and determination, trusting in the Renewed Hope Agenda to guide us towards greater heights of prosperity and unity.” the SGSs admonished Nigerians.
The SGSs appreciated the Kogi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the hospitality and care for them during the conference, according to a release by Adegboyega Segun, information officer, Ministry of Information.
