–

SECURITY Agents are on the trail of those operating Radio Biafra which the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, says is operating illegally without license.

The NBC issued a statement at the weekend decrying Radio Biafra which it described as a pirate radio station which transmits seditious and divisive content contrary to the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code and the law.

According to Awwalu Salihu. director of public affairs, NBC, “The commission wishes to assure the public that it is working in conjunction with the security forces to track the source of the broadcasts and possibly apprehend all those behind the station,” urging Nigerians to ignore the inflammatory content of the broadcasts and continue to work towards a strong, united and prosperous nation.
