Security guard docked for allegedly stealing 2 TV sets

A 37- year-old security guard, Samuel Ogunjobi, was on Tuesday docked  in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing two flat screen television sets, worth N3million.

The defendant, a security guard who resides in Mushin ,Lagos is charged with conspiracy and theft.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Racheal Williams, told the court that the offence was committed on June 24 at Terminal III, Oshodi Transport Interchange of Periscope Security and Safety Company.

The prosecutor said that the defendant and others at large, were on duty when it was reported that two flat screen television sets, worth N3million were stolen.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State,2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mr A. J Odueke granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in likesum.

Odueke adjourned the case until Oct. 6 for mention.(NAN)
