The Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, ANSEMA, has received relief materials worth N20 million from Federal Government through their counterparts, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Enugu, South-East Zone.

The materials include edibles and non edible items such as rice, beans, beverages, garri and cement.

Walson Brandon, the Zonal coordinator, NEMA South-East Zone, on September 21, handed over the relief materials to the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Chief Paul Odenigbo at SEMA warehouse located at Agu-Awka.

Walson said that the relief materials would be used by the displaced persons currently accommodated at various holding shelters around the flood-affected areas of the state.

He pledged that they would send more relief materials from Federal Government.

Receiving the relief materials, Odenigbo, thanked NEMA Zonal Coordinator for the effort and love they have for Anambra.

Odenigbo also thanked the FG for the kind gesture and prayed God to reward and protect the leaders.
