Adeola in a condolence message to the family of the deceased, the people and government of Oyo State, said the death of Ajimobi was a sad incident.

The lawmaker, in the statement, issued by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, said the demise of Ajimobi came at a time his wealth of experience as a respected legislator and a former governor was needed in the affairs of the nation.

He said Ajimobi’s death was not only a loss to his family and Oyo State, but the people of Nigeria.

He called on people who are still living to continue with his legacies as a detribalised and principled Yoruba man, who made a mark in the development of his people and the nation.

Adeola prayed to God for the peaceful repose of his soul and the fortitude for his family and political associates to bear the irreparable loss. Ajimobi died on Thursday in a Lagos hospital at the age of 70. (NAN)
