Senate Summons Adeosun, Emefiele Over State of Economy

THE Senate on Wednesday, May 25, summoned the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, and the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to appear before it and brief the senators on the current state of the economy.

This was sequel to a motion by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Bassey Akpan. The upper chamber did not give the specific date that the two government officials would appear before it.
