SENATOR Ifeanyi Ubah is dead

The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, was reported dead on Saturday morning after a brief illness in a London hospital.

According to reports, he had traveled to London a few days ago after he became critically ill.

The cause of death is not clear as at Saturday morning.

Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, and reelected on that platform in 2023.

He defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, earlier this year and has indicated interest in seeking the governorship of Anambra State in next year’s election.

He contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election and came fourth in a contest won by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Ubah’s death is coming just few days after Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, passed on.
