Shettima, others to attend Abuja sports, recreational centre launch

VICE- PRESIDENT Kashim Shettima and other government officials will attend the grand launch of the Monoliza Sport Centre, slated for April 27 in Abuja.
The Managing Director of Monoliza Centre, Mr Mohammed Jammal, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Sunday.
“An exciting chapter in Abuja’s recreational landscape is set to unfold as Monoliza Sport Centre prepares for its grand launch on Saturday, April 27.”
Jammal said that the event which would mark a significant milestone in the capital city’s leisure and sports scene, would be attended by the Vice-President Kashim Shettima and other government officials.
He explained that the centre located at between Asokoro, Garki and Central Area, would be the epitome of excitement, drawing a diverse crowd of sports enthusiasts and fun-seekers from across the capital city.
According to him, other guests expected to attend are the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who will serve as the Guest of Honour, and the Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Enoh will be a special guest.
He added that the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Ohanenye, and the Minister of Youth, Dr Jamila Ibrahim, would grace the occasion as special guests.
According to him, the centre is meticulously designed to offer a family-friendly entertainment and recreational experience, catering to the diverse needs of the Abuja community.
He said the centre would have a sports arena, including running track, swimming pool, multipurpose playground for basketball, volleyball, Padel Tennis, tennis courts, mini-golf court, horse riding, PaintBalling, Amusement Park and a massive events center of over 600 people.
