Shun cultism, criminality or ruin your future - Nwokolo

STUDENTS of tertiary institutions in Nigeria have been advised to shun cultism and other forms of immorality and criminality as such vices are capable of destroying their lives and dreams.
Owen Nwokolo, the bishop on the Niger, gave the advice at the matriculation of the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians, Iyi Enu Mission Hospital, Ogidi, Anambra.
The school had in the maiden intake matriculated 41 students.
Nwokolo urged students to always remember to keep to the oath and standards of institution.
“You must shun every form of immorality, criminality and all kinds of academic misbehaviour and ensure you are always law-abiding.’’
The bishop tasked the students to always have their future in mind in whatever they did, stressing that their current undertaking, would determine their future.
“Ensure that your various trainings will help you to contribute your quota in researching in several fields of learning for the general good of the nation and your own well-being.
“Always remember that you are not being educated not only to serve yourselves, but the nation and the world at large.
“I, therefore, encourage you students to be versatile and work hard in collaboration with others to actualise your dreams,’’ he said.
Nwokolo, then, enjoined lecturers to take their job very seriously, pleading with them to use all they had learnt to train students under their care.
