THE Director General, Small Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) Mr Charles Odii says the policies of the President Bola Tinubu are meant for the nation’s growth.
Odii said this on Thursday at Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta while celebrating Christmas with the people of his constituency, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta.
According to him, all the policies of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, are for the good of Nigeria.
He maintained that the policies were what the country needed at this time in order to revive its economy and put the nation in its rightful position.
Odii explained that the individuals that were criticising the policies were doing so for their selfish interest.
“When you fight corruption, corruption will definitely fight back and what we face today is the impact of corruption fighting back and not ill fated policies as painted by certain individuals.” he said.
He implored his constituents and Nigerians in general to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, in his efforts to ensure that a much better Nigeria is achieved soon.
Odii also appealed to his constituents to stay safe and enjoy the holiday season “taking cognizance of the fact that Jesus is the reason for the season.”
At the occasion, the SMEDAN boss doled out large number of bags of rice to his constituents.
This included 27 units of 25kg bags of rice, 300 units of 10kg bags of rice to All Progressive Congress (APC) members in the 11 wards in Aniocha South LG.
He also doled out 200 bags randomly to constituents totalling 500 bags of 10kg rice.
Receiving the bags of rice on behalf of the constituents, the APC Chairman, Aniocha South LGA, Mr Norbert Sochukwudima, said, ”hope is alive, just like the agenda of our dear president, ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.
”At a time we were worried, because we’ve been expecting this kind of kind gesture and we are glad is has finally come and we know more will come by the grace of God, we are grateful.
”And what the DG of SMEDAN has done reaching out to the grassroots, the executive members of the APC across the 11 wards of Aniocha South, his immediate constituency, his local government is a noble one.
”We appreciate him greatly, the rice has been evenly distributed and many are leaving here happy, we have pray for him and we appreciate him.”(NAN)
