GOV. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has congratulated Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu on her recent nomination as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Tinubu.

Soludo said this in a statement by his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, on Thursday in Awka.

The governor described Ojukwu as a distinguished daughter of Ndigbo and a Board of Trustees member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

Soludo said Ojukwu had consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities in public service.

“Amb. Bianca Ojukwu’s extensive background in law, diplomacy, and public service positions her uniquely to excel in the new ministerial role.

“As a former Ambassador to Spain, she has showcased her commitment to representing Nigeria on the global stage with dignity and integrity.

“Her nomination is a proof of her excellent individual capabilities and it is a source of pride for the state,” he said.

The governor commended President Tinubu for his pan-Nigerian and inclusive leadership in nominating Ojukwu for a ministerial position.

He expressed confidence that Ojukwu’s experience and dedication would significantly contribute to the advancement of Nigeria’s foreign relations, fostering stronger ties with other nations.

Soludo wished Ojukwu every success in her new position and looked forward to seeing her make impactful contributions at the federal level.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu on Thursday urged the Senate to confirm the nomination of seven ministerial nominees for appointment as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Tinubu, in the letter, listed the nominees to include: Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, Muhammadu Dingyadi, Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Mukhtar Maiha, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata and Dr Suwaiba Ahmad. (NAN)
