A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has thanked members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, for supporting the party’s projects.
Soludo, in an interview, expressed his gratitude to APGA members during the party’s Idemili North Awareness Campaigns that took place at Idemili North Local Government Headquarters, Ogidi.
He said that Idemili North was critical to the success of APGA as it had the greatest number of registered voters.
Soludo expressed regrets at the paradox of Idemili North having a large number of voters, but recording low number of votes cast during elections.
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, urged APGA members to align with Gov. Obiano’s plans and intentions with regards to the forthcoming Anambra governorship polls.
The Transition Committee Chairman, Idemili North LGA, Ralph Nnabuife urged APGA members to advert their minds to reasons why the meeting was convened.
The convener of Soludo Support Group, Chinedu Nwoye, urged the party members to eschew violence, and embrace peace so as to position APGA to win during the election.
Other APGA stalwarts, who attended the event, included Vera Queen Okonkwo, Mmegbuanaeze, Ifeatu Obi-Okoye and Tony ‘Oneweek’ Muonagor.
Soludo had announced that he would seek the party’s nomination for the Nov. 6, governorship polls on the platform of APGA.
