–

On Friday, August 21, the Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, joint venture lifted the force majeure on gas supplies to the NLNG from the Eastern Gas Gathering System, EGGS-1, following repair of a sabotage leak on the line. The force majeure was declared on August 4, 2015.

According to the SPDC press release, the joint investigation team, which visited the site found that the leak was caused by a crude theft connection, apparently installed by people who thought the line was transporting crude oil.
