ABBAS Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has mourned the passing of Gboyega Soyannwo, the deputy chief of staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

Abbas said the late Soyannwo was a loyal aide to Governor Sanwo-Olu and a dependable ally in his government. He added that the death would leave a great vacuum in the Lagos State Government House.

He commiserated with the Soyannwo family and the governor, while praying to God to grant the soul of the late Deputy Chief of Staff eternal rest.

Soyannwo reportedly died on Wednesday at the age of 55 after a brief illness. He was survived by a wife and two children, said a release by Musa Abdullahi Krishi, special adviser on Media and Publicity to the speaker, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
